We've been called the "Ritz of Hostels" and we are proud to have earned that title. Hostels are rising in popularity, and for good reason! You'll get to meet with new people who love many of the same things you do and compare travel stories. One of the biggest draws of a Hostel is saving money on sleeping arrangements so you can put more into your real adventure. We have people from all over the United States and a surprising number of guests from around the world. Our favorite part is the knowing where you are from so please pin our map and help us improve our story.

Check-in & Check Out: A text message will be sent the day before arrival with all check in and check out information. 

Reservations: Recommended, but not mandatory. A credit card number is required to hold your reservation. Groups are strongly encouraged to make a reservation to ensure the availability of overnight accommodations.  Note: There is very limited cell phone service between Meyersdale and Ohiopyle. If calling on the day of your arrival, please call before passing through Meyersdale or Ohiopyle.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made no later than 5 p.m. two days prior to arrival. 

Daytime Hours: The hostel is closed during the day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Special arrangements for hostel access may be made in advance with the manager. 


Rates/Person:

Overnight guest: $38.00, Single Bed

Children 12 and under (accompanied by an adult): $18.00

Private room: $90.00 for first two people; $30.00 each additional person. (Rates quoted do not include tax.) Can ONLY be booked by phone at 814-926-2461

Details:

Bathrooms: Three private, unisex bathrooms include a shower stall, sink and toilet. When the hostel is at 50 percent or more occupancy, a sign-up sheet will be provided for scheduled bathroom access.

Bedding: Unlike many hostels located in Europe and the U.S., we include bed linens in your overnight fee. Each bed includes a mattress, pillow, pillowcase, fitted sheet, flat sheet and blanket. Some mattresses have been upgraded for guests' comfort in Spring 2020. 

Towels: One set of towels are included per person. 

Laundry: A coin-operated washer/dryer is available for guests. Detergent is provided.

Storage: If you are staying more than one night, you may leave your belongings inside the hostel during the day.

Quiet Time: 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. We expect our guests to be considerate of each other so that everyone gets a good night's sleep.

Because we are located so close to the GAP, part of the Rails to Trails Program, we are in hearing distance of an active railroad track. Please know that trains will blow their whistles at the traffic crossing beside the Hostel. Ear plugs are provided upon request. 

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time, in order to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests. And, the hostel is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
